Extending shelf life


Can anyone recommend a good natural product that can extend the shelf life of cupcakes and muffins.

Boston Cream Pie Emergency

So next Wednesday I'm up for this dessert.  Chef likes us to garnish our plates but I'm at a loss. "BostonBakedBeabs" candy? Crushed? He hates "smears" especially red jammy oones that he says look like clotted blood. Yikes.
